Muhammad Amir and Imad Wasim Announce Retirement from International Cricket

Muhammad Amir (age 32 years) has played 36 tests, 61 ODIs and 62 T20 for Pakistan since making his international debut in June 2009.

Muhammad Amir has taken 271 international wickets in all three formats and scored 1,179 runs. Mohammad Amir was part of the squad that won the 2009 ICC T20 World Cup.

“Representing my country has been and always will be the greatest honour of my life.”

According to reports Amir said: “After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from international cricket. While this chapter comes to an end, I look forward to continuing my journey in domestic cricket and franchise cricket, I hope to keep entertaining you all in new ways.”

Meanwhile Imad Wasim (age 35 years), debuted for Pakistan in 2015 & appeared in 55 ODIs and 75 T20Is, amassing 1,540 runs and 117 wickets during his International career. 

PCB thanked Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim for great services to the Country and expressed its best wishes for their future.

Both players leave behind remarkable legacies, making way for the next generation of Pakistan cricket to shine like a star.
